Café Talk, Lucerne edition.
It’s nice to see people here still visiting and posting. Yes, even you, LOVO.
The last Cafe Talk was full, so I’ve started a new page.
Just so ya’s k-know…… this is NOT an ‘even you’ comment 😳 ….. because I’m banned 🙄 😯 …… and why am I banned I hear ewe’s ask (bleat ‘n baa) 😯 …. because Geelong had the temerity to beat Port by 119 points in the 2007 grand final …. and I k-know that I shouldn’t repeat it…. again….. but….but….but…..OH, hang it, that was an good day 😛 ….. no really 😛 ….. just, like. sayin…, like, … you know 😉 ..
… another good day was when little johnny didn’t even win his seat as an ‘sitting’ PM…. now all I’ve got’s ta look forward too is ‘little tony’ loosing his Warringah aspirational wake-ups…. and the Cats given the Power an dishin’ up in 2015….. like !!!! *thumbsupsmiley: :rhubarbsmiley: 😛
I have two predictions for 2015, LOVO:
Port Adelaide will make the AFL grand final, and we will have a new prime minister.
Hello Michael! Happy to join your new page with Seasons’ Greetings to all Cafe friends. Best wishes too for the New Year! May 2015 be a brighter one for Oz lefties.
I find myself writing less and less in this my eightieth year, but still happy to keep reading and across events. Though I must say there is little in the political sphere ‘down-under’ to turn me on. Perhaps if a brave new leader were to turn up on the left and look like bringing Abbott and Co. undone I could get back to writing the odd verse.
Hello Patricia. Nice to see you.
The stats tell me that we still get a number of visitors here everyday so I was dropping in to wish everybody a merry Christmas.
G’day Migs, hope you and Min had a good Chrissy 🙂 …. this may be of interest to you…. or not 😉 ( .73 and on and .77 and on may be of some interest also as well, but…ay )
That’s a lot of ploughing through, LOVO. What do you see the point as?
What an wonderful, peaceful and verily thoughtful group. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Migs, mm, interesting question….mm, …………..pass 😮
” Refugee resettlement has created 70 full-time jobs and added $40 million to a struggling rural Victorian town’s economy, a new study shows.
Since early 2010, about 170 Karen refugees from Myanmar (Burma) have resettled at Nhill in western Victoria’s wheatbelt, with the majority taking up work with poultry producer Luv-a-Duck …..”
Don’t get sick or…….. 😦
“……, Australia and New Zealand may not have drug companies as powerful as those in the United States, but under the accord, American subsidiaries in Pacific trade partners could use the accord’s dispute-resolution process against perceived violations by Medicare..”,
That’s interesting. Thanks LOVO.
I Like a good graph 😉
I’m in F’n Melbourne…… with the kids……and NO ONE SPEAKS MEXICAN 😯 .. WTF…. jest sayin’……. no really…. 🙂 😛
(one wonders if’n Melbourne-ite’s are more Americanised than Sydney-ite’s) ….. just an observation, mind…………………………and yet!!!!!!!! (and would you like Fries’ wit dat) *gawdsmiley*
P.S. I’ll be in Geelong tomorrow…..mmm!!! …ay Migs 😉
Why the f*ck would anybody want to go to Geelong?
Because one can. 😛
I’d rather go to Broken Hill a hundred times before I go to Geelong.
Good idea…….see ya soon 🙂
I said I’d rather – I didn’t say I would.
As the world burns will we ever learn……power, profit and pain in the neo-arctic:-
Good to see you, LOVO.
